Crosspoint Church
Reverend John Scott of Crosspoint Lutheran Church began talks with the village planner and board members about a proposal for a church in Lakewood, Illinois. Rezoning was requested and approved for the remodeling of two retail units into a church. Scholl Construction was hired and the build out was underway.
Scholl Construction was responsible for steel stud framing, dropped ceiling, plumbing, electrical, heating, drywall and installation of doors and hardware. The church had a great group of volunteers who worked alongside Scholl Construction, painting, completing trim work, hanging electrical fixtures and installing cabinets.
The second job Scholl Construction did for this client was remodeling the kitchen at the original church in Palatine. The kitchen had not been updated since the 1970s and was not effective in serving the congregation. We gutted the existing kitchen, expanded it into a storage area, added an entrance into the gym area, installed new appliances, cabinets, fixtures, flooring and made built in coffee makers. We removed the ceiling, and added sprinklers and fireproofed the ceiling.
I want to say it was a real pleasure to work with you and your team at Scholl Construction. They were all excellent craftsmen and more importantly, a pleasure to deal with.
