Scholl Construction started at the top with a new roof and repaired, repainted siding, then moved inside. New red oak flooring replaced the carpeting and dated hardwood throughout the upper level. Every cabinet in the home was restored and painted, paired with new countertops, and the master bathroom received all new cabinetry to match its updated finishes. Walls and doors throughout were repainted, and every door was fitted with new black handles, strike plates, and hinges. In the living room, the old fireplace was removed entirely and replaced with a new fireplace and hearth.

Downstairs, the basement got its own refresh without a full teardown. The existing flooring stayed in place, but the tile surrounding the bar was transformed with a painted epoxy finish, taking it from a dated beige to a stylish grey. One end of the recreation room became a workout area with a personal sauna, while the rest of the space was turned into a media room with a large, comfortable couch and a huge retractable screen for movies, sporting events and TV.

Outside, the screened-in porch got a functional upgrade of its own. New glass panels were added along the bottom with existing screens on top, allowing the space to stay open and breezy on nice days while keeping out dirt and dust when the weather turns.

The only true structural change happened in the garage, where the ceiling was raised to create a vaulted space for extra storage, a small addition that added function without disrupting the home’s original footprint.

Every surface in this home was touched, from the roof to the basement floor, and the result is a home that feels brand new inside and out.
