Whole House Remodel in Lakewood
Moving across country can be a daunting experience especially when you have found the perfect location but the home needs a little work… well, a lot of work! These homeowners worked with an architect and then hired Scholl Construction to help with a whole house remodel.
The hardwood floors, railings and steps throughout the first floor were sanded and stained. The kitchen, eating area and family room were opened up and renewed. Both owners love to cook, so the kitchen and family room area were key as a main source for relaxation and entertaining. A must-have feature in the kitchen was an island that would function as both a food prep station as well as a place to enjoy meals. White paint brightened the fireplace, walls and ceiling in the family room. The closet in corner was closed up creating a cleaner look in the family room and open up on the laundry/mud room side, providing more storage space by the washer and dryer.
The powder room was upgraded throughout and a fresh splash of color added to the walls via a bright patterned wallpaper.
Many homes of this age sport a bathroom suite with a whirlpool bathtub and separate shower. This home was no different. The tub was taken out and the room reconfigured. The remodeled bathroom has a large, step-in shower. The area where the shower used to be, is now a nook for towels and other necessities as well as a large mirror, that is lit from behind, to make getting ready for the day a breeze.
Exterior repairs to the siding, roof and windows were also done by Scholl Construction and their crew.
