Master Suite Makeover in Barrington
The owners of this home embarked on an ambitious project that included plans for a large addition; however, they chose to begin with a significant update to their outdated master bathroom suite. This remodel, while relatively straightforward, presented several challenges due to the concrete foundation. Among these challenges were necessary layout changes and the complexities of working with embedded plumbing.
Fortunately, the plumbing adjustments required were minimal, allowing the renovation to proceed smoothly. A noteworthy enhancement in this remodel was the addition of a heated floor system, which effectively addressed the long-standing issue of cold floors during winter months. The transformation involved gutting the existing space entirely—removing an old surround tub and shower—and replacing them with modern fixtures that elevate both functionality and aesthetics. The installation of a luxury soaking tub alongside a zero-depth walk-in shower not only enhances comfort but also creates an inviting atmosphere within this revitalized master bathroom suite.
