Jeanne Schroeder
Hi, I’m Jeanie Schroeder. I’m the sales assistant at Scholl Construction.

Peter Scholl
And I’m Peter Scholl owner of Scholl Construction.

Jeanne Schroeder
We wanted to take a few minutes to introduce Scholl Construction to you and answer some of the most common questions that we received from our clients. Pete, how long have you been in the construction industry?

Peter Scholl
I’ve been in the construction industry for over 30 years.

Jeanne Schroeder
Wow. That’s a really long time. When did you decide to start your own company and what was your inspiration?

Peter Scholl
I started as a young child and my inspiration was building things with my hands.

Jeanne Schroeder
That’s a long time to have known what you wanted to do? Yes, I’ve known that long.  I’ve heard you say that you’ve built over 4,000 homes, which is amazing. After all of those homes, what still makes you smile when you’re building one today for a new client?

Peter Scholl
The same thing that got me excited about the industry in the beginning. It’s seeing a piece of ground go from nothing to having a house built on it.

Jeanne Schroeder
And is there a specific part of the build that’s exciting to you?

Peter Scholl
The mechanicals and the insulation are the exciting part to me. That’s what makes the house function and operated as it should.

Jeanne Schroeder
What about the customers? What do they get excited about?

Peter Scholl
I see them being most excited when the framing goes up. They see the house basically rising out of the ground within a few weeks. That’s really exciting for them. Another phase they’re very exciting about is the drywall phase.

Jeanne Schroeder
And then they can visualize more of how it’s coming together?

Peter Scholl
Yeah, They see the rooms taking shape.

Jeanne Schroeder
Most people I talk with understand that building a custom home can be a stressful process for the owners. How does Scholl Construction help their clients reduce the stress and navigate the process.

Peter Scholl
It can be very stressful. It can also be very exciting for homeowners as well. So the way that we help navigate is by using our knowledge and experience to help guide them through the process.

Jeanne Schroeder
That guides them from start to finish through the whole thing?

Peter Scholl
We take it from start to finish.
