Custom Home on a Budget
The owners of this home came to Scholl Construction with a piece of property to build on and a lot of ideas for their new home. They had a long list of must-haves and a pretty strict budget in mind. The more we discussed their project, it became clear some compromises would need to be made to stay within the budget.
The Scholl Construction team worked with these clients to lay out the pros and cons and costs of different custom construction features they discussed including in their home. Being flexible about what was truly a must-have versus a nice-to-have allowed them to build the house they wanted within their budget. Using a simple box-on-box construction style and delaying the construction of a custom deck were some of the ways these clients were able to get some more of the custom features they really wanted in their new home. Features like an enhanced exterior to give the home more curb appeal, and custom tile work and wood accents throughout.
All-in-all, this custom home was constructed with a personality of its own, perfectly suited to the family’s wants and needs.
