Replacement Deck with a View in Lakewood, IL
This home was built in the 70s by the current owner’s grandfather. It has a beautiful view of the golf course and has seen many years of active living in the home and on the deck.
The original deck was in dire need of replacing and was unsafe for use. Scholl Construction was hired to rebuild the 2,000 square foot deck with stairs. This included demolition of existing deck and stairs as well as rails, joists, beams and posts. Some of the concrete footings below needed to be replaced as well as some of the patio.
The upper deck material is a composite decking that won’t rot, warp or splinter and never needs to painted or stained. The resulting deck is a beautiful place to relax, entertain or just enjoy the view. The owners now have the confidence that this deck will be safe and maintenance free for many years to come.
